Rosuick or Rosuic comes from the Cornish for
hind's heathland or spur of moorland - ros ewyk or ewik.
Many thanks to Andy Norfolk for his help with Cornish words.

From his wood studio on the Lizard, Samvado offers elemental pieces in wood and stone to celebrate local trees and rocks.
Earth, water, fire and air played a part in their slow arrival.
Samvado’s work expresses these origins in practical and inspirational ways,
and brings the feel of the forest and landscape to your home.
There are several hundred pieces on display including bowls, dishes, platters from 6’’ to 30’’ and a range of sculptural forms in wood, stone, bronze and stainless steel which will enhance your home, garden or patio.
The work is often sought out as presents for weddings and other celebrations.
Commissions are invited.

This form began in 1970 with a line drawing in a book by Ouspensky.
It took some 15 years gestation and several attempts before what I felt
could be realised in 3 dimensions.
As a sculptural object it carries a balance of form and space so satisfying that the 3D form itself is transcended, and the viewer may be led out of the usual subject/object categories.
